Daily Task List
Each week in Mrs. Fremling's class, she has a Task List that students will need to complete daily. If your student is absent, they can read for at least 20 minutes (if able) and write their Journal Responses on their own piece of paper. They can put their responses in their Reading Journal upon their return.

Informational Writing
We are working on Informational Writing right now. Students were told that they can choose any subject that they would like to write about. They would need to become an "expert". Things that we are working on are: researching, taking notes, finding different sources, and to find out all they can about a certain subject. It can be an animal, place, invention, etc... whatever they may be interested in as long as it is "school appropriate". They need to have a question in which their report revolves in answering. Below is the checklist as to what they need to have in their Informational Report. At bare minimum, students should have an introduction, 3 paragraphs on things they have learned about their topic, and a conclusion. They will also be making a bibliography to go with their story to site their sources.
